The shepherd’s star

“The shepherd’s star” is one of the names of the planet Venus, the first star to appear after the sunset (West) and the last to turn off (East) before the sunrise. For this reason it showed the hour where shepherds brought animals to pasture at the sunrise or the hour where they come back at the sunset.
